In a dramatic escalation of rhetoric amid rising Middle East tensions, President Donald Trump has issued a direct warning to Iran, stating that any attack on the United States would be met with an “unprecedented response” from the U.S. military
The warning comes in the wake of recent Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear and military sites, which have left dozens dead, including top military commanders and atomic scientists.
U.S. Denies Involvement in Israeli Strikes
President Trump took to his Truth Social platform to clarify that the United States “had nothing to do with the attack on Iran.” He sought to distance Washington from the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, emphasizing that the U.S. was not involved in the recent strikes launched by Tel Aviv against Tehran
“The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” Trump declared in his post
Threat of Full Military Might
Trump’s message was unequivocal: any retaliatory action by Iran against the United States would be met with overwhelming force. He reiterated that the U.S. military is the most powerful in the world and is prepared to act decisively if provoked
“If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” he repeated, underscoring the gravity of his warning
Call for Diplomacy Amid Escalation
Despite the tough language, President Trump also expressed confidence that a diplomatic solution could be reached. “We can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict,” he stated, suggesting that the door to negotiation remains open even as military tensions rise
On Friday, Trump had urged Tehran to accept a nuclear deal to avoid further attacks, warning that “there has already been great death and destruction, but there is still time to make this slaughter… come to an end.” He stressed that Iran must act quickly to prevent further escalation
Regional Fallout and Cancelled Talks
The Israeli strikes, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion,” have further inflamed the region, with Iran responding by launching ballistic missiles at Israel. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to continue targeting Iranian assets, including the country’s oil and gas infrastructure
Meanwhile, a scheduled round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks in Oman was abruptly cancelled, reflecting the heightened tensions and uncertainty surrounding the conflict
